Marcus Mumford is best known today as the lead singer of Mumford and Sons, an English folk band. Born in Anaheim, California, Mumford left at six months and headed back to his families’ native land, England. Here, he met up with fellow band member Ben Lovett at King’s College School in Wimbledon. Mumford later decided to return to London to write the first album, Sigh No More, after playing drums for Laura Marling. In 2007, the band formed and was given the name Mumford because of the primary role Marcus has with writing and organizing for the first album. Ever since then, the band has playing their music for the entertainment of people across the globe.
